Well, there are two main points I want to add.

1) For initial attraction I think everyone takes into account looks. It is an animal instinct and is most certainly an important factor. If you meet someone for the first time and they ask you out on a date it's the deciding factor in it. That goes for both sexes.

2) when you get to know someone, looks don't mean anything. That first date with the gorgoeus man or woman won't turn into a second date if their personality didn't match. But Kevin next door who is a bit odd looking but has a heart of gold may well take his place.

So, initial attraction, looks are essential. Long term date, potential husband/wife, looks are not important at all.

I believe that for a woman a man's looks is very important. It determines whether one would accept an offer to a first date from a complete stranger. Yet, good looks can be found in every type of man once you get to know the person behind the face.

You're kidding, right? What is the first reaction anyone has when they see an ugly guy with a beautiful woman? Yup, he must be rich. There is a lot of research that goes to show that women and men that are in relationships are of EQUAL attractiveness. In other words, good look women date/marry good looking men.

The primary unconscious influencer for a guy is whether the woman is healthy enough to breed. A woman looks for a man who is capable of being a good husband to her child and caretaker. These are unconscious factors that we cannot much control. It's amazing how we are "wired!"

Because MEN -as well- should not consider women's look as important factor for dating or romantic relationship!

It speaks for itself: "romantic relatioship". A relationship should not depend on looks. As for romantic.... it is self understood.

Man who knows what goes on in women's brains, thats why we ask these questions and why some guys sneak peeks into women's magazines to try to figure out what they're tyring to figure out about us.

As far as im concerned, im decent looking and i dont think i have a bad personality. Yet i dont think i attract girls even if my friends say i do 'secretly'. What that means, i dont know. Maybe its like some stamping thing in supermarkets where you gotta fill them all and i only fill a number of them.

(Not meant to be an insult if anyone is, im just plain confused, haha)

Of course they do. There has to be that an initial attraction. I don't believe women when they say, looks don't come into the equation. HTH : )
