because they don't want to look like they are discriminating against the only muslim country in europe because they fear terrorism

Love and hate have absoloutly nothing to do with politics. Politcs is business. Countries decide to do what benefits them regardles of any other consideration. Love and hate is what people do, not governaments.There is no "blind hate" or "blind love" in politics, but it is sometimes benefectial for a governament to make use of the emotions of its people. for instance if a governament economists, reaearchers and milittary experts find a benefirt on waging war on a country, it could be benefitial to make the people"hate" the other country. And vice versa. So political actions give rise to people's love or hate, and not the other way round.
As for Turkey. the EU worries about Turkey mainly because it is a United States Alley, and therefore its loyalty to a future united Europe is questioned. Howver, since the UK isteslf is a US alley , and more a partner to the US economicaly and politicaly than other EU members, it encourages the accesion of other members who are more pro US. This will strengthen the ties between UK and the US .

Because the UK doesn't want the EU to work and the most certain way of achieving that is to expand it as much as possible as fast as possible and bring the most unsitable nations into it.

I think it is really because Turkey is so helpless that the UK feels sorry for them. Someone needs to help the witty bitty guys out that cant tie their shoes but like to wine and complain about everyone else......
Theres one in every world, i am sorry you have to live in a country like that...maybe you should move to IRAN, i hear they dont need any help from anyone...except the terrorists..
