Is ectopic pregnancy detected as a pregnancy in the pregnancy test or will it show as a neg reading???

You would still get a positive.

Yes it will still show positive at the reading, sad but true. Only detected at an ultra sound and plse see a gynae asap as it is life threatening to the mother.

Yes, the amount of hCg (the pregnancy hormone) fluctuates more than in a normal pregnancy, but this will show up on a test.
