You'll have to set up one (or more) of the computers with Internet Sharing. This is available in WinXP and may be added to Win2K.
Without that, it's rather difficult if at all possible to share the connection without a router.

The only way for you to share internet connection with your hub is to share it from your computer..Unfurtunately, if you are using your ethernet port for your internet connection like DSL you can not share it with others since you are already using the ethernet port and there is no way for you to share your internet connection unless you will buy another ethernet Network Interface Card(NIC) and connect it to your hub so why not just buy a router you can share you internet connection using router all you have to do is to plug all computers in the router, using ethernet and UTP cable of course, and configure each computer and your router and there you go. and by the way, the drawbacks of using hub is that you should keep the computer that share internet connection always On or else Internet connection will be useless to other computer.

In LAN or Home LAN...
Only one computer can connect to the main Internet Service Provider, So this computer becomes as Internet Server for our home lan and all other computer becomes client to this sever. So
1) download FreeProxy v3.91 from www.handcraftedsoftware.org
(the best)
2) set it up on the main server
3) Use that server IP address as proxy address and configure this in the Connection settings of the BROWSER (any).
4) Make sure all nodes are IP nodes, say if you have 4 comp at home set the IP as
IP: 192.168.0.1 (for server)
Sbumet: 255.255.255.0 (comes automatically)
DNS: 192.168.0.1
So server is ready.
for other comps, continue the IP number
IP: 192.168.0.2, 192.168.0.3, 192.168.0.4
Sbumet: 255.255.255.0 (comes automatically)
DNS: 192.168.0.1
so the network and internet both are ready to access.
Hope this helps.
