I'm not sure about making her earn her keep. But there is no harm if she is physiclly capable to operate a riding lawn mower. Actually getting out and doing something is much better for her than sitting around.

It all depends on their physical as well as mental condition. My great-grandpa was in his mid-nineties and still driving and doing his own grocery shopping. He felt great!
If your in your 70's and in the early stages of dementia, I wouldn't recommend riding a lawn mower!

Great idea darl, why don't you get her to dig a hole about six feet deep, in the back garden as well? That will save you an awful lot of trouble when she has her heart attack.

ahh you're never to old for a ride on lawnmower.
in my opinion, everybody looks ridiculous on one of those things so age isnt really a factor

94 years old is old..if shes younger than that, id say let her on. maybe could ride it over to her friends house too

I CAN SEE IT NOW, GREAT GRANDMOTHER DIES TODAY AFTER GRANDSON ADVISES HER TO MOW THE LAWN!! FIRST SHE HIT A TREE FELL ON THE GROUND, STRUGGLED TO GET UP, AND THE LANDMOWER RUNS STRAIGHT OVER HER, THROWIN HER PEICES ALL OVER THE FRONT YARD. . .TRAGIC!!!! LOL
