If you worked within a company where you had been having sexual relations with an employee who was older than you and colleagues found out about it. Then you got a new job in a different area of the company but found out that that person had been telling old colleagues that I was lying and we didn't have sex and spreading rumours what would you do? I feel like although I am not at the company at present I still am getting a bad name, the thing is I still have feelings for her that I can't seem to shift no matter how people warn me off of her. Feel like i'm going mad worrying about what other people think

Just stop telling people you slept together.
And stop worrying about her. Obviously she is ashamed for people to know she slept with you, so just forget her.

You have a new job, so just ignore her. If you have integrity now and do a good job, then she will be seen as a gossip and you will be seen as the victim.

Just be careful what you say from now on, and don't sleep with anyone that works for the same company.

Well this is just my opinion and I'm no expert. Be honest and direct with her, most women like a guy who can take charge and be direct. tell her you still are interested, but that you are feeling resentful that she is spreading such rumors. It is possible that she feels put off by you and that is her defense mechanism. again I know nothing about her, so it is a guess.
As for everyone else this is hard but just make the mind set that they don't matter. You dated her because you like her,age is not a huge deal(as long as your legal) and that is your personal life, why dose it matter so much to them. Do they not have lives of there own?
and just another note, work is prob. not the best place to meet people. It just gets uncomfortable unless on the rare occasion it works out.

Having sex with co-workers is never a good idea. You can't change the past, and you can't obviously stop someone else from lying about you, so you will have to behave in a manner which will show everyone that you are an honourable person.

How did everyone find out? Did you brag?

Most companies have rules prohibiting superiors dating subordinates. If this is the case and her job is in jeopardy, I don't blame her for denying it ever happened.

If you have video, e-mails, or love letters indicating a relatonship, hold on to them. If it come down to you getting repremanded for spreading falsehoods, you can always bring them forward to your HR manager.

Otherwise just forget it.

Besides, you're still a skunk for what you pulled in the other Y! thread.

Well I'd say don't spread that you two slept together. In an ideal work place, employee relationships should be limited. Just focus on your work and all this will disappear. Just do well and make everyone in the office like you. Then they'll just shrug it off. good luck :]
