I have a little over 15,000 songs in my Ipod 80 gig video, and many of them don't appear under the artist. When I do a search on the Ipod it finds them if I look them up by song title, and the songs do appear on the Ipod in Itunes. The songs ARE tagged by artist. It seems like many of the ones that aren't showing up aren't tagged with an album though. Has anyone else had this problem? Is there an easy fix?

It could be that there are ID3v1.1 and not ID3v2.x tags (or the reverse). A good program for fixing tags is Mp3 Tag Tools v1.2. Very easy to use, can write tags from filenames, rename files to any way you want. http://sourceforge.net/projects/massid3lib

Well, in Itunes, you have to fix everything. If you check, under the label "artist", If it's blank then that's probably why you have no artists. To fix this, right click the song and click get info. And under artist, type the artist. That should work.
