There could be too many programs running in your registry for your computer to handle. You may be running out of RAM as a result. Click Start-->Run and type msconfig into the field then OK then click on the tab that says services to see what is running. If there is anything running that you don't use much then you can either untick those particular program/s down or uninstall it/ them from Add/Remove programs in your control panel . You may need to get more RAM too.

Stop surfing porn.... Just kidding

Firefox is a great browser with great add ons. I was a dedicated IE users for 10 years. tried Firefox 2 years ago and only use IE now to test websites in development.

I have had no Adware, Spyware or viruses since using Firefox (in combination with AVG Anitvirus. It is also faster and easier to use than IE - especially IE 7, which sucks.

Some times cookies cause problems. Go to settings, control panel, internet options, delete cookies, delete files, clear history then click ok. Then, start, programs, system tools, disk cleanup. In the box temp. internet files box ( and mabe some others ) will be checked. Click ok. Go back to disk clean up,highlite temp. internet files, further down click "view files". Acording to the verison of I.E. you have There will be 4 or more file folders. Double click the folder two open it. you may find HUNDEREDS in each file. At top click edit, highlight all, click the red X,and send them to the recycle bin. Be patient for it
to gobble them up! Empty each file. click ok. After you do this you may have to have your user name and password to get back on line! This may seem to much ( it is easy with experience!) but you will learn alot!....Or you can re install! Good luck!

Your IE is effected with some kind of spyware/malware. Easiest solution is start using a firewall like zonealarm with some anti spywares like spyware doctor or Adaware.

P.S. if you are using XP with SP2 then in explorer go to tools>manage add ons.. try disable all the entries you don't know.

Run>msconfig>startup ... disable all the entries you don't know here as well. this will prompt you restart. do it.

You probably have IE 7. Anyway, stop using IE and switch over to this free browser, Firefox. http://www.mozilla.com/
You will love it.

Tip: Always keep IE as your default browser, though.
