Only if the giver has a contagious illness. My children's pediatrician always said it was impossible to spoil a child under the age of 2 yrs old. Babies need love & affection, it is a healthy part of their development. I am happy to report my children survived all those hugs & kisses I indulged, and are now grown with children of their own to smother with hugs & kisses! In fact my grandchildren are now patients of the same pediatrician!

I still cuddle and kiss my baby and hes 2 lmfao. He is very very spoiled though and does the whole cry when mommy exits the room thing. Hes always been very spoiled in the affection area. I never put him down when he was itty bitty. I dont think its a bad thing though. If you can deal with a spoiled baby go for it. I love that he still wants to cuddle and stuff where a lot of kids whos parents worked and werent home they just wanna play and be independant. Which isnt bad either...I just love to cuddle lol.

Absolutely not! That's what babies are for! My son is now 3 1/2 and still love hugs and kisses. I don't think it's "spoiling" them. I think that it creates a loving bond with them. Now, quit reading this and go kiss that baby! lol

Of course not, Babies thrive on affection. The contact between you and your child establishes the relationship you will have in the future. So cherish and enjoy being with your child.
