I got married because I needed a cook..

I did because I was needing my freedom ripped out from under me. I also was experiencing too much contentness being single. Nothing reminds you that "you are not alone" more than an angry voice yelling at ya.

I don't know why any man would marry these days. Living together is better. I believe that living together builds more trust in a relationship. If one breaks that trust one can just walk away.

Other reasons might be Sex. But just because your married doesn't me it's the wifes' responsibility to cook, clean, do laundry and maintain the house. It should be a joint effort on the part of the man and the woman in a marriage.

Ok, so I am going to go the scientific route with this one.

Personally, my husband married a cook, too - but I like to cook and I am having fun with it. He also got a maid and someone to arrange his social affairs...

Anyway - here is an interesting article from the Mayo Clinic about the health advantages of being in a good marriage...

Well besides the loving companion ship that a beautiful wife offers and having someone to cook for you and clean up after you and be there for you when you get home from work at night and "comfort" you at night and be a body pillow to lay next too there is nothing. But then again what else would you want.

The advantage is to have a best friend, lover and confidant. Someone who will support and encourage you, accept you for who you are and love you even know your a knucklehead. Rather than getting married sounds like you could have just ordered delivery every night. Marriage is not easy, nor is it for everyone. maybe you married the wrong woman.

I'd love to go into all the spiritual matters, but with you I'm gonna skip that. I'll just give the other stuff.

You will be in better health
You will live longer
You are more likely to be successfully career-wise if you play your cards (wife) well.
She can do things like cook and clean for you
You get to have *gasp* SEX with her! OMG!

There are a few others, but in lieu of SEX, what else could I possibly conjure that would even phase your mind?

No advantage my friend. In today's world, all chicks are independent. What happen to those good old days? If u really want to get married, go to some poor country and find u a chick who is not independent. I bet that will last for good. haha

People who are married are generally happier than people who are singe. They also get more sex despite what the popular jokes are. Being married means you have someone to make life easier too. Youre wife cooks for you, you provide things for her too I'd asume. There is nothing wrong with making each other's life easier.

in house sex and cuddling. Other than that nothing. I can fire up the grill and use paper plates no need for a wife for that. More advantages for a woman she gets everything he works so hard for and she gives nothing but a boring sex session.

That alone might be a good reason. Now find one who won't leave you in three years and becomes an activist.
