Y not???Youngsters should be allowed to take part in active politics..I strongly believe that the older politicians...especially those above 60(there are leaders in India who are even 90 years of age) shud step aside and make way for more younger people..The older ones shud stay out, guide, advice and help in evolving strong leaders for the future...Just imagine wat wud happen if something happens to the older leaders of India...wud just the one or two young leaders, like a rahul gandhi...take care of all things.. So we need the old ones to move out and young ones to come into the picture.....

This is rather a too idealistic type of question. It is true that a youngsters mind (between 20 and 30 yrs of age) is quite sharp and sensitive but it lacks experience and nuances of life. No doubt, he will tend to be more honest and less deceitful. But who will allow him to be active in politics? Will he have any say in any matter unless he is son of Sonia Gandhi, or Bal Thakre or of a powerful minister? That is why, youngsters partcipation is desirable but not practical.

If you are denoting the current college generation by "youngsters", then Yes. My idea is, people to take active part in mainstream politics - not as a game but as a profession and enthusiasm - should be learned, educated and have much nationalism, patriotism and selfless motive.

I would strongly urge anyone young or old to take an active voice in politics , especially in India. Nowadays youth are so much more educated then the times of Indira Gahndi and her husband. I definately say "Take a stand" and do what is right!

There are already inumerable youngsters in Indian politics. Unfortunately, the veterans in Indian politics are all crooks, criminals, corrupt to the core. So, the youngsters joining them are also similar in background and attitude. Really honest and intelligent people are almost non-existent in Indian politics; making honest people get repelled.
