You seem confused. Free Masonry is the oldest and largest fraternity in the world. There are Masonic Lodges in most cities in the United States. Masons take good men and help them to become better men. And these better men practice charity to the extent of MILLIONS of dollars a day. One such charity is the Shriner's Children's Hospitals which gives free healtcare to children. These hospitals are located in many places in the United States and some in Canada.
If you look around, you will see all kinds of people bashing the Masons because they think some conspiracy is going on. It is not bad at all to be a Mason. You can ask your father about it some, and he can give you some answers. You may even be able to attend some of the family functions at the Lodge.

Being a member of a Masonic Lodge is not a bad thing at all. The basis of the Lodges coming into being is to better the people associated with them and to work for the greater good of everyone.
Your Father will never tell you what goes on in the Lodge or what they do at their meetings but don't let the secrecy bother you , greater works are done in secrecy . The lodges stem back to the times of the builders of the Pyramids and this is why they are "masons"

The Masons helped organize and instigate bunches of revolutions, back in the 18th and 17th centuries. For instance, Masons in Philadelphia purposely had enlightenment literature smuggled into the Spanish colonies to help generate support for independence.
I have no idea what they're up to lately, but they keep popping up in history class - seems they've really made a difference through the years!

There's nothing wrong with that. If you search a little further, you will see that many great people are and were masons or freemasons. Their values are good, they stand together and don't do anything wrong. On the contrary, you'll find them in many important fields like politics or education.

i think of because of the fact the Masons have in no way thoroughly divulged all factors of their company. human beings do no longer understand each and every element approximately some thing, rumors fly. of direction each and every of the flicks, books, and conspiracy theories that have come out at the instant do no longer help lots the two. *An aside to a various person who replied: i'm from the south. evaluate my typing ability to yours. If i'm uneducated, what does that say approximately you?
