I'm going to high school next year and I'd like to go to Phillips Andover Academy. The only problem is that I'm pretty sure I have to pay, seeing as it's a private boarding school. I'm not exactly sure but I think the cost is around $52,000. I have a father in the air force and he can supply me with some of the money, but I don't want to have to make him pay for it all. So I have 2 years to come up with most of it. I already get an allowance of $20 a week and I got a good job of $50 a week. But I need some more ideas cause that's still not enough. Well.................?

If your father is in the air force, then look into getting a job at the BX or commissary. I worked in the AAFES food court and made about $12,000 a year after taxes. If you can get a job at the Commissary, either bagging or a regular employee, you can make some good money. When I lived overseas, I was 15 working at the Commissary with a job that paid close to $17/hr. (Job title is Store Worker). Both of my sisters were baggers and on saturdays could make close to $100 in tips which is tax free. Be glad that your dad is in the military, and use that as a place to get a job. Best of luck to you and getting the money you need!

To apply for an AAFES job, go to AAFEES.com and click on employment.

First of all 50 bux a week isn't a good job, McDonalds employees on a part time shift makes more than that. But if you want to go to a prep school try contacting some rich people in your area by letter, tell them your story and most likely you will get one of them to help you rich "OLD" people love making sure that the future of America will be bright. Good Luck.

They do offer financial aid scholarships and this is even a quote on their website..."Financial need should never discourage a student from applying for admission to Phillips Academy... "

Sit down with your parents and read about what the academy offers in regard to financial aid information.

Good luck to you!

If your father is in the military, you qualify for grants and other college tuition help. Also look into gettin a job, establishing credit, and gettng a school loan....If you get a grant and a school loan, you will have money to live off of, and money for school.
