It's not really normal. I would say getting it checked would be a good idea. I started out that way and now my husband and I can't have sex at all. Is she having a lot of pelvic pain too? If so she may need to get a full pelvic exam and maybe even an ultrasound. It could be Endometriosis. (though normally that gives you pain in the abdomen) It could be an infection. It could also be a number of syndromes or diseases. Is it more pain or burning? I would suggest getting checked. Better safe than sorry! Good luck!

Now, I have sex with my husband regularly. And sometimes, my vagina hurts too. Sometimes, it gets so irritated I have to tell him to stop. I don't know, maybe it is normal for some women and not for others. All I know is that, I am used to it. It's kinda like a game of chance...50/50. Maybe it will hurt this time, maybe it won't. Oh well, I stil get great orgasms.
