I thought it was pitiful that this nation chose to talk about what a wonderful man Gerald Ford was after his death than before. I had never watched an autobiography about him until after he died. They should have let him be honored and told what a great guy he was before he was dead. What is your opinion?

I think it was a blessing they did not drag him into the dilema that we have now with the republican party and the Bush administration although he did give his opinion years ago, it would be sad to have any aspersions cast upon him about the Nixon amnesty issue. He actually was a very good and tried to be fair man, but he is a republican in history with his own history, and to associate him with either of the bush's that have been in the white house is shameful. No it is okay with me. I know who he was and appreciate his life and times with honor.

true, but Ford was seen as a mediocre president by some. some even more critical call him a bad president. but he was a good man and a president of the United States. because of that we honor him in his death. If he had been a more prolific president he would have recieved more attention previous to his death, but unfortunatly he was considered unmiraculous so people didn't focus on his career until he passed away.
