if it be 4 it would
Major in Biology
Major In Spanish
General Chemistry
English-college writing

if 5 then I would add
-Minor in French(im fluent, my native language)

should I go with 4 or 5 classes in this case? what's more impressive to med school?

Do you mean a class in bio, class in spanish, class in chem, english class, and a class in French?

If you have a tough courseload, med schools will like that. But ONLY if you get good grades in it.

Frankly, by now, I'm fairly certain you have an overinflated sense of how smart you are and/or have a poor understanding of how hard college is/what the med school process is like.

If you actually try these crazy ideas you're asking about, I can almost guarantee you'll drop 2 or 3 of those classes AND majors/minors, or fail most of those classes if you're stupid enough to stick it through to the end. By the time you graduate, you'll only have 1 major and with a slight possibility of a minor in French.

no one can answer that question but you! i generally took 5 classes with 2 labs and worked but i didn't see the light of day for 2 years. one semester i took on way too much both in classwork and extracurriculars so i would look more impressive to med schools and ended up nearing a nervous breakdown, dropping a class, and a terrible gpa to boot. lesson learned: only take on what you can handle and don't try to compare yourself to others. the difficulty of the classes at your specific college has a lot to do with it and only you can determine what you can and cannot handle. i hate to not answer your question, but based on my experience it's completely true. if you want to go to med school you MUST do well in your pre req classes so this above all needs to be your top priority. i really wanted to show i was well-rounded by taking different classes but i ultimately realized that sometimes you have to take that time and work on your science classes. if you're doing well in your pre-req classes than take 5 classes! just be forewarned that med schools will be more impressed with a student that did well in the science classes than a student that did fair in science with lots of extras! good luck!

The sad answer is 5....

But they don't want to see a burned out student either, so find a good balance.
