I’ve been delayed for almost 2 weeks now but we’ve had 3 home pregnancy tests already and all gave us the same results NEGATIVE. 1st was on my second day of missed period, 2nd on the 5th day and 3rd was on my eighth day of missed period. Is it possible that I’m pregnant or something’s wrong within me? I never get delayed. My menstruation just resumed 2 months ago because I was exclusively breast feeding my son for 8 months. Please help!!

Likely not. Breastfeeding does reduce your chances of pregnancy, and when menses return, the first few cycles are usually dry runs.

I think the stats I saw said that you have less than 25% chance of getting pregnant during the first "cycle" after BF.

Also, if you're still BF quite a bit, you could have periods without ovulation. And if you're nursing a bit more now (such as the baby being sick or going through a growth spurt), it's possible the period this month just decided not to come!

btw, great for you to be breastfeeding. Fabulous!

keep testing till you have missed a period for a full month then if things dont improve call your doctor.

have a blood test done and then you will know. I had periods when I breast fed my daughter.I wonder why you didn't have them when you did your son?
