Depends on the state you are in but you will go back to prison for a certain amount of time.

Usually, you are not arrested for a parole violation - but for another crime - DUI, assult etc. In placing you under arrest, they do a criminsl history check to see if you hsve sny outstanding warrants or if you are out on parole. Depending upon the terms of your parole, you may be returned to prison for vioplating yout parole - plus be charged for the most recent crime that caused your arrest.

If you break parole, you serve out your time behind bars, as you broke your agreement for freedom.
