CN Tower is in Toronto, Canada
Very tall building and your mom is correct. There is a restaurant at the top (well there was last year!!!). There is also a glass floor so you can look right down to the street, ooh scary, and some pretty cool security check points on the way in.
The CN Tower is pretty cool, but I much prefer the Steam Whistle Brewery across the street!! :-P

The CN Tower, at 553.3 metres (1,815 ft 5 in) tall, is the world's tallest freestanding structure on land. It is located in the city of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and is considered the signature icon of the city; more than two million international visitors are attracted annually to the tower[1]. Guinness World Records has listed the CN Tower as the world's tallest "building" for 31 years[2].
CN originally referred to the Canadian National Railway, but following the railway's decision to divest non-core freight railway assets, prior to the company's privatization in 1995, the CN Tower was transferred to the Canada Lands Company (CLC), a federal Crown corporation responsible for real estate development. Since the citizens of Toronto wished to retain the name CN Tower, the abbreviation CN now officially could stand for either the Communication Networks Tower or Canada's National Tower rather than the original Canadian National.
Other than that... I have been to the restaurant and it is expensive but the view is spectacular so that makes up for it. The restaurant revolves very slowly so when you go to the bathroom and try to find your table again you will notice it's now overlooking a different part of Toronto :) The glass floor viewing spot is on a different level, almost made me afraid of heights ahhaha :) The very top of the tower is a radio antenna which is why the public cannot go there.
You'll have a blast, don't worry :)

The CN Tower stands at 553.33 metres tall, is the world's tallest freestanding structure on land. It is located in the city of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The concept of the CN Tower originated from a 1968 Canadian National Railway desire to build a large TV and radio communication platform to serve the Greater Toronto Area, as well as demonstrating the strength of Canadian industry, and CN in particular.Well its not the tallest thing in the world now cz KVLY-TV mast is the tallest about 629 m its just a something like a pole but who cares its the tallest....well I don't know if there is a restaurant there cz i have never been to Canada. i only cz tell you some facts I got.
