It's Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.Here's a small summary:
Harry and Ginny hook-up.

I believe your talking about the sixth Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.
During Harry's 6th year at Hogwarts, which is what the book is centred around, Harry finds a book that belongs to the 'Half-Blood Prince', the book has instructions inside of it for spells that the owner made up, at the end of the book when Snape is running away from Hogwarts because he killed Dumbledore, he tells harry that he is the Half-Blood Prince and that the book was his when he went to Hogwarts so he made up the spells. The book is more or less about that.
