Really there is no form to God, god is formless, for God is not a matter or material characterized always with form and name. Even the word GOD is not God. God is not but only Godliness IS. All forms in the world are mind made or mind itself,in all religions.Everyone is aware of himSELF,.That power ,or force ,what may u call it, is the only REALITY, the existential truth and we name that Self- force God, that is all.So it is neither male or female. it has no sex,no name ,no form since it is not a THING.So god is a NO_THING i.e NOTHING. Nothing too is a word, you know.Except God everything is an illusion, illusion of the mind, for mind is always illused,as u may know.Since that which termed God,is eternal and not a person or a thing there is no question of sex with God. So every thing in the universe is nothing but God in the sense of SELF,eternal. There are, always positive and negative, the yin and yang which we call opposites or contraries. Though they appear opposites they are really not. They are half and half without which there is no possibility of ONE.A force or energy having no form the SELF , the united yin and yang, the masculine and feminine energy is verily the existential REALITY of every atom in the cosmos. You can call it any name,Father, mother, tree, God or doG, it makes no difference. Thank you for asking an intelligent question.

I think it's not really a matter of religion. It has more to do with a cultural mind set than anything else. Now, if you keep that in mind, you might want to reflect about Far-East and their pervasive Yin-Yang concept.

There's much to what you ask. I only think you shouldn't restrict your question to the religious field, though.
