If this is just for basic stuff like surfing the net, and emailing, it's going to be fine.

The only thing that concerns me is the size of the hard drive.

If you download music, it won't take you too long to fill up that drive, but you can put your music on DVD disks.

I think that for a basic system, you'll be okay.

celeron are hopeless pieces of silicon try for a P4m instead...also have a 60 or 80 GB HDD (5400 rpm) because mwdia files eat a lot of space......if u want the best deal...go for some Athlon processor ....all said and done, they are technically far more superior than their intel counterparts and offer a great value but have a lower after sales value though...

Internet? ok. Chat? ok. Music? umm...
You'll be stunned how fast the hard drive fills up.
And don't bother upgrading to Vista if it does what you want- all the eye candy will gobble up your resources.

ummm its okay for what ur using it for but if you can go buy one at best buy for 500 dollars and u get more out of it maybe a turion 1gb of memory a 80 gb of hardrive wireless ready and u get a free upgrade to vista but its kool for ur needs

you ned windows vista home basic and upgrade your memory because if you want vista home pro or ulti you need 1000 gb for it or bye home basic!

yes its good for that but if you get alot of junk on it like stuff you dont use and viruses and stuff it might get slow
