does anyone know how to find the x-intercepts for this function
f(x) = (8 + x^2 - x^3) / (x - 1) if you set the numerator to equal to 0? i can't seem to factor this function to solve for x.

There are one real value of x and 2 imiginary values:
x1= 2.9311424637535337
x2= -0.46557123187676696 + i* 1.5851039850308978
x3 = -0.46557123187676696 - i* 1.5851039850308978

It does not factor into integer values. You will have to use a cubic equation solution.
