I am to that age right now that all of the stuff I listned to, played with, wore, or had any kind of contact with is all coming back and I am buying it for my kids. LOL

Yeah.Back in the day when Rock was young it was great. I like some of the remakes but not all of them. Some music should stay the way it is. And some remakes bring up the beat a bit.

A lot of songs I grew up with are being used as samples, and background beats, to modern rubbish.
It seems that the skill of songwriting is being lost and all that modern singers/bands can do is adapt old music.

it's actually good marketing... same reason that during economic downturns hollywood pumps out so many sequels... take an old hit, instantly recognizable and put a new spin on it.. almost guaranteed money.
