although I won't give you a list of songs, I will recommend some bands.
grunge/hard rock:
Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, Shinedown, Second Coming, Submersed, Audioslave, Candlebox, Live
alternative/contemporary rock:
Audiovent, Matchbox 20, Dishwalla, Default
classic rock:
Led Zeppelin, The Eagles, Stillwater, Whitesnake, Def Leppard
