It spins relatively slowly as it orbits us, so that the same side stays facing the earth. This isn't just a coincidence. It used to spin faster, a lot like how the earth spins in its orbit around the sun. Gravity between the moon and the earth slowed this spin down and keeps it the way it is; as someone already pointed out, this is called tidal locking.

Becasue only a portion of the moon is being lit by sunlight. It's like shining a flashlight on a ball. Only one side of the ball is lit up while the other side stays dark

It does not show only one side. The back side is exactly the same as the front.
Just kidding.

The moon does not spin on its axis. That is why it is showing only one side ti us always.

Because the rotation of the moon on its axis exactly matches its motion around the Earth, so it always faces the same face to us.

It rotates, showing both sides eventually
As for showing both at the same time, I don't think it's quite possible... like saying why can't we show both sides of our body in a mirror at the same time

Because it only faces us, and always keeps looking at us. It doesn't spin enough. The man in the Moon is always watching you.
It's obviously a conspiracy....And you thought black helicopters, Katrina, and ManBearPig were something to worry about....

because the front side of the moon is blocking the back side of the moon, so we cannot see it.
