My GP seems to think its ok, but I'm sure I've read elsewhere that its not! Are you breastfeeding and back on the pill?

The problem with using a hormone contraceptive is not that it will leak into your milk and harm the baby. The problem is that they can lower your milk production. The mini-pill and progesterone only pills are less likely to lower your milk supply, but they are also less effective in preventing pregnancy. Also, some women have their supply affected with ANY hormone contraceptive.....like me!
Doctors are generally not real familiar with breastfeeding and medication. They can tell you if it will harm the baby, but most don't know any more than that.
My personal reccomendations would be to either:
A.) Use the low-dose pill AFTER your baby is older than 6 months. And use condoms or something until then.
or B.) Use a non-hormone type of contraception.

Non-hormone contraception would include condoms, diaphrams, copper IUD (NOT Mirena), natural family planning, etc....

I've been on that pill since my daughter was 6 weeks old. She is now 16 months old and still nursing like a champ. It hasn't affected my milk supply whatsoever and I haven't had a single period WHOO HOO. I love the mini-pill, it doesn't give me the bad side affects that the regular BC pill did. BTW my daughter wouldn't eat solids daily until she was about 11 months old, so you see that I have a very good supply while on the pill. I never had to take any milk boosting supplements either.

it somewhat is totally secure to take whilst breastfeeding with the aid of fact it somewhat is a progestin in basic terms pill. Micronor could be somewhat no longer common with the aid of reality you should take it on the right same time in many situations going on to circumvent being pregnant. it somewhat is somewhat unforgiving that way. it additionally will make your sessions shorter and lighter or give up all jointly.
