I haven't had my period since September. I have taken 3 home pregnancy tests, along with a pregnancy test at the doctor ... all are negative. I have not been under a large amount of stress; in fact, the past 6 months have probably been the least stressful of my life. I have noticed a slight increase in my appetite, and I've gained about 7 lbs. I have not been sick to my stomach but have been incredibly tired. If I'm not pregnant, what else could be going on with me? I have a normal 28 day cycle, regular as clockwork.

I'm 25 years old. I'm not going into menopause, and I've been getting my period for thirteen years.

i would suggest going and getting a blood test done to test for the levels of hcG in your blood system (which should be EXTREMELY high by now if you are pregnant). most planned parenting places can do those for free. but i do have a good friend who is now pregnant and had NO morning sickness (me... had ALL day sickness through the whole 9 months....). so would just suggest you get the testing done, or go see your obgyn and get it checked out

I would still take a pregnancy test every month until you begin to have your period again or you have a positive test. Although more than likely it has to do with a hormonal change, which is perfectly normal. At times during a women's life their hormone levels will change. It is the same if you are around a lot of females on a regular basis your cycle will get on the same as theirs. Again perfectly normal. If this still bothers you then you may want to talk to your Dr more about what is going on.

Endimetriosis. This causes scar tissue to develop on the uterus and fallopian tubes and can cause infertility. Go to the doctor right away. My friend also had this happen, and she had colitis, which is ulcers in her colon. For some reason this stopped her period. You could also have an STD that is causing your body to feel tired b/c it is trying to fight off an infection you may not even know you have. Good luck

it sounds like pregnancy to me also, you dont always get morning sickness, i didnt get it with either of my children. I also took numerous home tests and they all came out negative, but i went to the dr and sure enough it was positive. Why don't you try going to the dr again and taking one more test? You never know, it could have been wrong.

Go to the Dr. and get a blood test. The urine test sticks for preganancy are not as accurate. The blood test will pick up any number of potential issues, including hormonal imbalances and perhaps any auto immune diseases mentioned.

It could be a number of things, but the body is excellent at letting you know when something is wrong. Hormones, your environment, and just about anything can affect your period. You should be fine. Who knows, the simple fact that you are worrying about your period can cause you not to have a period.

It's not entirely unthinkable even at 25...

"Early menopause is a subject that receives little attention. Yet surprisingly, around one in a hundred women experience the symptoms of early menopause, including young women in their teenage years and early twenties..."

I used to be this way too. I would get my period, then skip like six months, and then get another. Are you new to menstrating? If so, my OB/GYN tells me that it's normal. Or...due to your weight gain, even though it's not excessive, it could be throwing your hormones off. I would go to your regular MD for a physical and get some bloodwork done on why you're so tired....it's possible that your thyroid could be out of whack. Good Luck!

You may have already answered your question within your question. Stress can affect a menestrual cycle. But, just to be safe, when you went to the doctor to take a pregnancy test, did you talk to your doctor about this? If not, I would recommend that you do that.
