A guy who just graduated from college came to talk to us seniors about college. He had options of going to either med school or law school. He double majored in political science and economics. The guy said that if he had to start college all over again, he would have chosen philosophy over political science. According to the recent graduate, knowledge of political science is better learned through a government internship (which are widely available) for college credit. Philosophy, on the other hand, is not just head-knowledge but also a way to think and analyze. He felt that it is a better preparation to understanding and dissecting argumentative language.

The best major is probably philosophy. Other majors could be sociology, criminal justice, political science, english, or maybe history.

Edit: If you want to go into Public Interest or Real Estate law, then Sociology is a good major.

Accounting is an ideal beginning and it has surprisingly little math. Nothing beyond college algebra and I know because I am an accounting major
