It doesn't matter how shiny the toaster is, only what its' positions are.
*Will the non-shiny toaster provide more toast from less bread?
*Will the non-shiny toaster take my toast and give it to someone else, even though I already give 10% of my toast away?
*Will the non-shiny toaster make difficult, unpopular decisions to keep us safe from other kitchen appliances, when there's no feasible correct answer?
*Will the non-shiny toaster outlaw butter in my town?
*Will the non-shiny toaster be capable of actually toasting sourdough, as opposed to my own toaster... oh sorry... I broke my allegory with an actual toasting question.
