the connector under my rear bumper ('95 ford f-150) that connects my rear turn signals, brake lights, back-up lights, trailer hitch wires and parking lights to the other connector that runs to the front of the truck was ripped apart. Can I just strip the wires and rewire them directly and bypass the connector all together? I don't need the trailer wires, so can I cut the connector off, strip the wires and rewire them direcly to the rear brake, turn, back-up and parking lights?

Yes you can eliminate the connector, its only a plug to join both harnesses together. or you could buy one from a junk at the bone yard if you preferred and install it easily on a p u truck. good luck

Yes you can, and I would use solderless crimp connectors and seal the ends with silicone to keep moisture out and prevent corrosion.

yes you can, if your going to use solderless connectors id use the male/female spade types so you can disconnect them later if you need to. but you probably want to solder them and use heat shrink to make it perminent.
