Is it ok to major in Spanish or is Biology more important for pre-med?

I like Spanish and Biology a lot. I would be willing to major in either. I hear that admission officers are looking for candidates who are real people and not to focused on acedmics. So taking a major in Spanish is better than Biology. What do you think? Should I major in Spanish or in Biology? I want to major in only one subject.

biology ,for many and actual reasons,and of course is a more
priority for pre-medicine

Major in Biology, minor in Spanish. The Biology will give you a much better foundation for med school.

There are too many Bio majors in the pre med field-stand out with Spanish. Remember to finish all prereqs for the MCAT before Junior year! Med schools also generally like bilingual people. Or maybe you could double major? Hope this helps~good luck!

you'll have to take a whole lot of biology, chemistry, physics, etc. courses to do pre-med, so i would major in spanish (or any other subject that you'll get good grades in to boost your GPA) because it will give you a break from all of the science. if you love biology, though, and do well in it then it will be a bit easier because you will be able to use some of classes to fulfill both your pre-med and your major requirements

You can do either one as long as you take all the required courses. Yes, you'll stand out more as a Spanish major. However, it may be a lot easier to get into the science classes as a Bio major. Neither one is all that easy a major so make sure you can keep your grades up.

if u could become a Dr im sure u have the brain to study them both. spanish is a language that will take u far in life while comunicating and bio is requ for Med school
