Some colleges will not accept D's in order to transfer your credits. You should contact the registrars office to find out what the college's requirements are in order to transfer credits. I would consider taking the class over if you really need it because a D isn't going to help you. If you retake it then it should boost your gpa a bit too!

I had a similar situation. Most universities will not accept any grade below a "C" even though you were given the credits for it. Since you received the credits for it, it will go toward the credits you need for graduating from community college. The credits will transfer to the university but the grades will not as long as they are not below the 2.0 or "C" range.

Well, it is not a good thing. When transferring the another college they will look at your grades as these demonstrate your abilty to study & level of comittment. It may be less of a downer if all of your other grades are great.

Isn't Art supposed to be subjective? How then, can One grade Art? Many great artists were never famous until after they were dead. Perhaps, your instructor does not recognize the quality of your work.

Often times you can choose what grades transfer and what don't, but you would have to retake it. Bad grades always hurt your chances, but you could retake it. :) Good luck.

Yes that's quite bad. I suppose it will be interpreted alongside of your other marks though.

Yeah of course it will
Seriously ask for a "F" instead, so you can retake the course.

if that's your only low grade you'll probably be okay. but if you have all C's to B-'s, then it might be harder. If it's a D among a bunch of A's, you'll be okay
