It is highly probable that there are at least basic forms of life such as bacteria outside of our planet. In fact, there is strong evidence to suggest so. Which means life on Earth is not special and can form anywhere the conditions are right. In our universe with hundreds of billions of planets, that can be a lot of places.
It doesn't scare me.
Some physicists even believe in the possibility of multiple universes. I believe our understanding of the world around us is barely the tip of the iceberg.

just look at pictures of nebulei and thats tell us the universe has a decent amount of "ingrediants" by which to make planets and if lucky, life. theres every reson to believe that the univer is teaming with life though dont let popular notions ge the best of you, 90% of all the living organisms on the erath are microscopic so in reality 90% of the habital planets may only have microscopic creature. the conditions on the earth are very unique. in all the universe whats the chance of another planets being in some ways like our own, slim
the idea excites me cuase it lets me know how very unique we our and that in all the cosmos, this is the ONLY earth there will ever be, be fortunate about that fact

Yes and I expect there is intelligent life. In fact I am interested in the idea that we are likely to actually be components of a superior culture's video game. It interests me more than it excites or scares me.

For sure there is, anyone thinking otherwise need a brain reformat.
Does it scare me?
Not me as the person that I am,
Its scares me belonging to this civilisation and the stupidity we are governed by, any visit from another life form will be regarded as hostile and hence jeopardise many living things on this planet.

Excites me. I have always wanted to communicate with those that I am not naturally born or inclined to. I always find it a thrill to decipher what customers say when they speak a language I do not know and am quite able to get the idea.
I have added to conversation that were not my natural tongue and have suprised many people in the past.

Sure! But...what kind of life? Micro dots or human like? And why should it excite or scare anyone...if it's been there for who knows how long!
