Adolf Hitler was not a pure anything. He definately was not Aryan. He was short and dark haired. His mother was of Jewish descent and he wasn't even a German. There's no such thing as pure ______________ blood (fill in the blank with any nationality you choose).
I have blonde hair & blue eyes and the closest I come to being of Aryan decent is the Saxons that invaded England.

I have never heard that it was pure German blood. In fact, the Aryan race was around before Germany was founded so this cannot be true. King Darius first claimed himself to be part of the Aryan race in the 5th century BCE.

The aryan race cannot be restricted to one nationality,nationality and race cannot be mixed. I do believe that their is such a thing as the aryan race, i think Hitler was probably aware he was short and didn't have blonde hair, but that didn't stop him from believeing in what he thought was the truth. 1. 'Karespromise's' is correct. There is no such thing as 'pure German blood'. Contemporary German's are mixed with Norwegian, Celt, Visigoth, Ostrigoth, and a host of other early races. Hitler wasn't even pure German by his own standards. Notice the lack of blonde hair?

2. 'Aryan' means "a member or descendant of the prehistoric people who spoke Indo-European". That's all it means.

I just wanted to add to the list of possible races that German blood is mixed with to wit, Hun, Mongol, Moor, Tartar, Gypsy, Visigoth, Carthaginian, Viking, ....anybody who believes any race is pure just does NOT understand history. For example, if you are of ANY European descent, Spanish to Russian,Irish, German, etc, you are related , by blood, to absolutely everybody who was alive in Europe in the year 1000 AD...enjoy!
