i have a gunipig too and i wash it every other weekend and its doing fine my sister is a vet she said it is OK to wash a gunipig as long as you read the labels on the back and see what it has in it and you should keep the water on warm. do it in the sink and fill the water up a little bit not even halfway . after that you should wrap it in a towel and then blow dry it on low and after that hold it and comfort it and then your good to go :) have fun! lol

Yes, you can bathe him. You should buy a guinea pig shampoo at the pet store. If you cannot find one, a kitten shampoo is okay too. Make sure the water is warm, but NOT hot. Make sure you dry him very well with a towel. Try guinealynx.com for more info.

Check with your vet, but instead of actually washing them, try using those baby wipes you can buy at the drugstore; these are allot less harmful and eliminates the risk of doing them harm. They are pretty clean, they wash themselves all the time. You might ask at the pet store, they might have something like ferrets do where they can dust themselves clean....just give Petsmart or whomever is in your area a call, they are wonderful about helping.

Yes! You have to get some Critter Shampoo (no joke) from the pet store and wash him up. But you have to make sure he is dry, with a towel and then a blow dryer. That's how I always gave my piggy a bath.

make sure you're keeping your guinea pig's cage clean... I had one once for eight years and it was never dirty enough to have to be washed... they tend to be fairly clean animals... as other people have said, get a special shampoo if you need to do it and make sure the water isn't too hot or warm... also... after you towel dry the guinea pig wrap it in a warm towel until it is completely dry... do NOT let it get cold while it is wet...

That's "Guinea Pig". Yes, as long as it stays warm and the water isn't too warm or too cold. You have to use a special shampoo which you can ask about at a pet store. You can even ask them the safest proper procedure to cleaning your guinea pig, to be safe and to ensure he won't get sick or anything. Get that little bugger clean! LOL

you have to buy a special shampoo for them at the pet shop. Human shampoo is not good for them. They will like a bath, though. Make sure they stay warm while they're wet.

do you mean guinea-pig?
they are rodents so they are used to water ,not soap, and being dirty.
although being rodents they are quite hardy and so a bit of soap may not do harm.
my brother and i used to keep big white rats and we built tunnels for them by using big world encyclopedias like playing cards.
good luck with your rodents.

yes but i'd use the delicate cycle with warm water and line dry so they don't shrink.
