I don't mean the one that holds the most people, but is physically the largest.
I've never heard any stats on it and I was just wondering.

No, jukeboxster, the largest stadium doesn't necessarily hold the most people.
That's what made me think of this question. The Rose Bowl holds more people than the Coliseum but it's physically a lot smaller.

yea the redskins holds the most people but that does not make it the largest stadium the arizona cardinals is the lardest stadium home of next years superbowl!

By holding the most spectators wouldn't you in effect have the largest stadium by area?
Michigan Stadium, home of University of Michigan's football team is the holds the most spectators at 107,501 and is the largest football-only stadium in the world.

I just know about the biggest college stadiums:
1. Michigan
2. Penn State (I think)
3. Neyland Stadium - Knoxville, TN. Home of the Tenn VOLUNTEERS!! Go Vols!!
