i was watching it last night..but didnt finish it...can someone tell me...does owen wilson's character Luke die in it? if so, how? cuz he wasnt at the very end..and i was just wondering

Yes, he was standing in the fireplace, and the thing kinda swings at him like a pendulum - POW. No more Luke Wilson.
It was a cool movie, as far as horrors go. A bit corny in parts, but good none the less. OMG, I had actually forgotten about that movie! Thanks for the reminder. Must see it again on DVD!

he's standing in the fireplace and this giant statue of a lion or some animal, i forget, head comes and swings forward cutting his head off

yes, he dies. I don't remember what the object was, but it was shaped like a lion and took his head off. (It was when he was standing in the fireplace)

it was cool! that big metal head in the fire place swings out and knocks his head clean off. great effect
