One kid on my son's bus started bullying my boy...went on for a good month before we found out WHY. Turns out the kid had lost his Mom in a car accident a few years back....the "Your Mom" jokes were real personal for him.
My kid and all his friends loved "Your Mom" jokes..until this kid took all the fun out of it....weird story...but true!

They can't take a joke I guess.
I always say " If they don't know your mama, why take offense?? But if they DO know your mama , and they're not exactly a friend........"
It all depends on who's telling the joke and why.
By the way----- Yo' mama's so dumb, she threw a rock at the ground-----and missed. (ehheh)

Well anyways, I'm not totally sure, but it's just our society and when someone insults your blood related mother it offends you and your family because they are making fun of someone who loves their son/daughter.
Weird I know.

Because my mother died when i was eight years old and i dont like when ppl say it directly to me to hurt me that is one of the heaviest blows someone can say to hurt me.. Kinda like my boyfriends cousins was botherin me and i told him to shut up and he said yeah thats what i told your momma last night while he was doin her that is just disrespectful

maybe because when ppl say" yo mamma" they get the idea that they're actually talking about their mamma even though its a joke, u feel me?

LOL I don't know, my son got in trouble for punching a kid for doing that to him, my sons only in second grade and hes already kicking kids butts for talking smack about me lol.
