Everyone at my company seems to be under 40. Most of the people on the bus are too. I am wondering what all the people over 40, particularly women, do for a living. I am also wondering what I will be doing!

We're here - but there are many companies that have/encourage/require a more "youth-centered" culture about them. So the younger workers are showcased - and/or fast-tracked...

(Seriously, Good Times, Happy Times...: I HAVE seen SOME cases where some have been held back - though no one could prove it. Being 52 myself, *** I *** am concerned about it, sometimes!)

I worked for a company that had as a secret policy to hire only young, recent college grads, and work them to death for about 5 years until they finally quit. Then, hire some more cheap meat to put thru the grinder. It's a legal (but disgusting) way to keep your workforce young and cheap.
I know a LOT of companies do this.
