I assume you're asking what you should use a $500 school grant on and not me. It depends on what level/stage of college you're at. If you're in your first two years, the first two years of school are basically memorization with little if any critical thinking. My best investment was a $25 micro-recorder and about 100 tapes. Ask the instructor's permission first because its against the law in some states to record someone without their consent, but it's one of the best college tools i've ever had to review classes because you always miss something the first time, especially on test preview/review day. Also, a cheap computer with no internet distraction because you just need the word processor to perfect your new writing skills. Aside from that, use it to buy books and/or pay some class cost.

Well, there is a class I want to take so that would help me quite nicely for the class and books.
