I didn't really have any expectations, though, I guess it's not surprising that I'm a loser with a college degree who can't get a job that pays anything.
Happy? No... There's gotta be more to life than just work but I don't know what that is.

no person's existence seems precisely the way they planned. There are continuously detours to something. Am I happy? Extactic. I married the guy of my objectives when I have been given an preparation. He replaced into already nicely knowledgeable, and had an excellent job. He now owns a employer (has for 25 years) and our entire relatives travels the international. He has supported me and our 3 little ones for the previous 29 years, not in undemanding terms financially, yet emotionally. He loves us, and is astounding. this does not have been the case had I rushed right into a marriage till now than 21. I had the possibility to realize this, yet became the 1st guy down....smartest element I ever did. I targeted on my preparation first, and then my existence labored out. If something have been to ever take place to my husband, i could nevertheless have the potential to assist our relatives by myself, because of the fact I actually have a great preparation. existence is great, yet staggering.

Not happy at all. I worked for over 22 years at the same company, I worked their OT, I did what they asked. I was a single Mom, did not have time to go to school and work on new skills.
Then one day, due to a resource action, I am unemployed. Way to go, instead of planning a retirement, I have drained my savings looking for a new job, I am still unemployed and worried about starting a new career.
Life sucks.

I'm happy, but my life is not what I expected. I'm 37, and when I was 18 I thought I'd be a professional athlete. Instead, I'm in business.
As soon as I got married and started a family, all of my priorities changed. That's both a good and bad thing, as you stop thinking about yourself and start thinking about your children first.

No, my life didn't turn out as I had "hoped"....my husband left (for his mistress) after 23 yrs of marriage (that was 4 yrs ago); I'm still single, but surprisingly, I'm okay with that. Happy, I don't know, but I'm enjoying my freedom for the moment (had never been on my own before)...
