I already know about the "day after pill" (does anyone know where I could get that without a perscription and about how much it would cost?)

Anyways, i was wondering if there was any alternate things to do besides taking the pill (Yeah, I know that if you dont want babies, that you shouldent have sex, and to always use protection, and all that jazz, but thats not my question)

Thanks!

If you really do not want a child, then I suggest you visit a Se* shop and see what they have as alternatives to use for yourself. Sex is something between two people who love each other. But in this day and time, people think it is recreational and to he** with the consequences
My advice is, if you don't play then you won't have to pay
but if you do play you may have to pay

I know here in Alberta, Canada you can get the morning after pill over the counter now, I am pretty sure.

I talked to my doctor about getting my tubes tied. I dont know how old you are or anything but I feel that is thr right option for me. I have had my kids though (they really are alot of fun but I dont think I want a third). It is a covered operation where I am. It is fairly simple day surgery. They make a very small incision and do it with little camera scopes with a laser pretty much, just sort of burn the tube closed. This is permanent of course.

As for tempory birth control types, there are alot of options. There is the pill but you dont want to be on the steady for years. There is the IUD whihc is a little copper or plastic thing they stick up by the cervix, but that isnt a good long terms solution either as it has been known to controbute to the creation of abnormal cells in the cervix. There is Depro Provera (the shot) you get in a needle every 3 months I think, but again, this isnt a great long terms solution cause it really messes with your body. There is also the diaphram which you stick up you with some spermicide that will cover the cervix and prevent sperms from entering and the spermicide kills any really fiesty seamen, lol. And of course the condom, not my favorite but works well when used properly.

The biggest thing though, I just want to add...Make sure the man you are having sex with would be an acceptable father...just in case. You end up loving your children so much that watching a man be a terrible father to them is like getting slapped around everyday.

You can talk to your doctor and they can help you decide which birth control methods work best for your lifestyle.

.....How about birth control pills, depo, condoms...or no sex at all?I believe they started selling the morning after pill at pharmacies. I think they are around $20. Or you can go to Planned Parenthood. I'm not sure of the price there. The ER has them too. Or you can be mature about the situation and keep your legs closed. If you have to ask, you dont need to be having sex.

In the US they now have a product called Plan B. It is a type of morning after pill. You get it at the pharmacy, but you do NOT need a prescription. It is $25-40 depending where you buy it. You can start taking it up to 72 hours after sex, but you are best to start the treatment within 24 hours.

Why did I get a thumbs down!? She asked "does anyone know where I could get that without a prescription and about how much it would cost." THAT IS WHAT I ANSWERED!!!

From the sound of your question you are what 13? Try keeping your legs together for another 5 or 6 years.
Besides, you should PREVENT pregnancy, NOT try dealing with the consequences of having sex.

Grow up before you screw around & end up ruining the life of a baby you are to immature to be having.

Morning after pill (try Planned Parenthood, unsure of cost).
Other than that, pray a lot.
Or throw yourself down the stairs.

condoms or getting a plan b pill (free, no prescription needed) at any family planning center that will give them. you should contact your local planned parent hood or whatever it is called there. they can tell you what options you have besides the pill and how to get them safely.

You sound too immature to be having sex or taking pills. Totally disgusts me that you're even asking this, as if a baby is a total inconvenience to your life.....
