This is a tuff one to answer for several reasons. First with out having seen the machine its difficult to pin down what model it is. The very early singer machines can go for lots on money but the latter machines are more common than people think. The second reason for not being able to give an estimate is that with the credit crunch people are not spending on antiques as they used to. The best thing to do is take the machine to a local antique dealer and get an estimate for insurance purposes. One think is for sure the longer you keep it the more it will be worth. Ja.

Go to yahoo groups, and it will get you to a site with old Singer machines. It took me a while but I found out all about my mother's old(60 years)machine.Who ever said they are not worth much does not own one.It all depends on the type and the condition, but even a shabby one can be worth $150.00.I even found the year it was made and where (Quebec). There are even sites where people show what models they own-so you can see what your's might be.

It probably isn't worth as much as you hope it would be. There were many, many of them manufactured, and they aren't rare enough to give them any great value. Some people remove the machine, replace the top with a piece of marble and use it as an interesting side table.
