How do I edit the river in "Animal Crossng: Wild World"?

How do I hack the game then?

You need a Gameshark or an AR device. These are the only ways I know of to hack into the game but to do so is inadvisable as it's the easiest way to corrupt your game file :)

even if you were to "hack" your game (and break it) - that doesn't necessarily mean that you can edit the river
why would you want to anyway? if you're not happy about it's layout, start the game over, and rebuild the town, see if you like it next time
each time you make a town, buildings are set up randomly, and the river starts at the northern end as a waterfall, and runs through your town to the ocean - this is so that you have every single possible location to fish, for some fish have different habitats

You canot edit the river. There are several ways the river can run through your town, but is is all set when your town is started, completely random.
