I might be moving to Nigeria for a while and I was wondering if anyone had any info on how the people are and what I can expect. I also want to know what to expect as far as housing. I would most likely be living in Lagos. Thank you and I want to thank you in advance.

I wouldn't recommend you to go. My boyfriend travels often to Nigeria and the company is arranging guards on every trip. It doesn't sound safe, does it?
I was planning to go last year for a business trip and the Nigerian company in Abuja didn't recommend me to go over as being a female. Sounds like there is something wrong.

I do not reccomend moving to Nigeria. Nigeria was like a warzone last time i went. it really depends on where you are staying in Lagos. Lagos is dangerous just like and even a little more than Big American cities. I wouldnt stay in Lagos if you are an american. i would stay in port harcourt or benin or warri. Lagos is very very crowded and you will not enjoy it. Port harcout is diverse in culture and is home to the igbo[ predomintaly christian] abuja is like a warzone. the muslims in abuja are ruthless. the burn down their mosques and our chruches.

Benin is safer than lagos but still violent

Warri is much safer than lagos but still violent

port harcout is safer than all three but still violent sometimes.

Lagos is home to the yoruba.

Be careful. Radical Muslims lurk all over Northern Nigeria and in some yoruba areas {lagos state}

Lagos can be fun but only if you are very careful. do not give your name or any personal invitation to anybody except a government official or trusted police. if you tell anyone where you live in Nigeria, you could be hurt. some nigerians are jealous of your money and they will do what ever it takes to get to your money.

Do not tell anybody when you are arriving unless it is your close friend.
be very secret in everything you do.

poision in there too. be careful!

If you are careful and listen to me, you will have an ok time. Nigeria can be better but unfortunately, that is how it is now. I wish my people could work to make nigeria like south africa and america.

I would much better recommend you to living in a small town somewhere in delta or abia state.

I pray that you will have a good time

send me an email and tell me how your trip and move was if you decide to go.

Well i am welcoming you to Lagos the former and now commercial capital of Nigeria.
thought Lagos is one of the small state in Nigeria, but has the largest population so far.
the life is lagos is very up and down depending on how you see it for yourself and depending on the area too. talking of entertament, Lagos has most of that for every corner of lagos is entertament, in the night that is when you will see the beauty of lagos. there also Silverbird galeria for latest cenima show in the world.
accomodation is ok but expensive depending on the area, and transportation is quite ok it only the road that is bad and that bring heavy traffic but apart from that Lagos is a place to be
and you are most welcome
