i'm sorry i meant sunscreen. rephrased: if you put on sunscreen, will you still get tanned?

yes. i always apply 30spf sunscreen whenever I am out in the sun. And tan just fine. Takes a bit longer than without sunscreen, but bonus is that I never burn.

Yes, you would have to get sunscreen with a low SPF, one like 8 maybe. I would not go any higher than 15 if you are trying to get a tan.

Yes, suntan lotion enhances your tanning. You must be thinking of sunscreen lotion. I don't know about that.

yes this is why there are spf numbers. lower the number the more tan you get.
