xbox360. it's been out a year longer so more third party companies are developing for it. Halo 3 is coming soon.
PS3 if you want free online gaming, a BluRay player (actually a good deal since BluRay players are about $800 and up) but I heard a rumor that more and more 3rd party companies are pulling out from developing games for the PS3 because of the cost to make em for the PS3

ps3, but if you want to buy something now you would have to go with an Xbox

personally, i'd go with the xbox360. it's just so beautiful and exhilerating to play and watch.
