Actually, no matter what iPod you have, you download a program called "EphPod" it is free, to download it just go to Yahoo and type "EphPod Download" or something....
once you install it, you go to "Configure EphPod" and you choose your iPod drive, once you are in their and you see all your music load up, just right click on whatever it is you want to copy and click "Copy to Directory" or something simliar to that....and that is it, you copy the music to your CPU :)
***it is important if you have never used EphPod before if you do the process i said above to get mp3s from your iPod to your computer, REMEMBER WHEN YOU CLOSE EPHPOD and it asks you if you want to save changes to your iPod or something
CLICK NO.....CLICK NO!!!!
**if you click yes, then your iPod will get all messed up and stuff when you try to sync it with iTunes again......so JUST CLICK NO

Connect the cord like you were going to upload songs to the ipod. If using a windows pc open my computer click on the removable drive (ipod) listed and you can access the songs through there. Click and drag to the desktop and thats it. I think thats what you are trying to do right? Put songs from the ipod to the comp. thats one way to do it.
