ah- this depends on a LOT of things. current, guage or wire made to create ring, material of the projectile...

you should look into coilgunnery its basically making things go fast with electromagnets. zoom!

Wowzers, too many unknown variables as far as I can see. How many winding of what diameter, internal resistance, power applied. Is the ring a superconductor? Then there are the many questions about the material to be accelerated, composition, weight...
